Safety instructions
– The A10VO pump is designed for use in open circuits.
– Project planning, assembly and commissioning of the axial piston unit must be carried out by qualified personnel.
– Before using the axial piston unit, please read the corresponding instruction manuals in full. If necessary, request these manuals from Bosch Rexroth.
– During and shortly after operation, there is a risk of burns from the axial piston unit (especially the solenoid). Take appropriate safety measures (e.g. wear protective clothing).
– Depending on the operating conditions of the axial piston unit (operating pressure, oil temperature), the characteristics may change.
– Working line ports:
The ports and fixing threads are designed for the maximum specified pressure. The machine or system manufacturer must ensure that the safety factors of the connecting elements and lines meet the specified operating conditions (pressure, flow, hydraulic oil, temperature).
The working line ports and function ports are designed only for hydraulic lines.
– Pressure cut-off and pressure control do not provide overpressure protection. A separate pressure relief valve is provided in the hydraulic system.
– The data and instructions contained herein must be observed.
– The product cannot be approved as a component for a general machinery safety concept in accordance with ISO 13849.
– The following tightening torques apply:
· Fittings:
For the tightening torques for the fittings used, refer to the manufacturer's instructions.
· Mounting bolts:
For mounting bolts with ISO metric threads in accordance with DIN 13 and threads in accordance with ASME B1.1, we recommend that the tightening torques be checked separately in accordance with VDI 2230.
· Threaded holes for axial piston units:
The maximum permissible tightening torque MG max for threaded holes is a maximum value that must not be exceeded. For the values, refer to the table below.
· Locking screws:
For the metal locking screws supplied with the axial piston unit, a tightening torque MV is required.
Installation instructions
During commissioning and operation, the axial piston unit must always be filled with hydraulic oil and bled of air. This also applies to relatively long periods of downtime, since the axial piston unit is drained via the hydraulic lines.
In particular in the "drive shaft up/down" mounting position, filling and bleeding must be carried out thoroughly, otherwise there is a risk of running dry, etc.
The case drain oil in the motor housing must be discharged to the tank via the highest case drain port (L1, L2, L3).
For the combination of several devices, ensure that the respective case pressure of each device is not exceeded. In the event of a pressure difference at the drain ports of the devices, the common drain line must be replaced so that the minimum permissible case pressure of all connected devices is not exceeded in any case. If this is not possible, separate drain lines should be laid if necessary.
To achieve favorable noise values, all connecting lines should be separated using elastic elements and installation above the tank should be avoided.
In all operating conditions, the suction line and case drain line must be led into the tank below the minimum oil level. The permissible suction height hS depends on the total pressure loss but may not be raised above its maximum value (hS max = 800 mm). During operation, the minimum suction pressure at port S must not drop below 0.8 bar absolute.
Mounting position
See examples 1 to 12 below.
Other mounting positions are available on request.
Recommended mounting positions: 1 and 3.
Note
You may find that certain mounting positions have an effect on the control device. Due to gravity, component weight and case pressure, the characteristic displacement and response time may change slightly. Mounting below the reservoir (standard) Mounting below the reservoir means that the axial piston unit is mounted outside the reservoir, below the minimum oil level.
Mounting above the reservoir
Mounting above the reservoir means that the axial piston unit is mounted above the minimum oil level in the reservoir.
To prevent the axial piston unit from draining, a height difference hES min of at least 25 mm is required for mounting position 6 to comply with the maximum permissible suction height hS max = 800 mm.
Non-return valves in the case drain line are only permitted in individual cases. Please consult us for information on approvals.
Installation in the tank
Installation in the tank means installing the pump within the minimum tank oil level.
Axial piston units with electrical components (e.g. electronic controller, sensors) must not be installed below the oil level in the tank.
